How to Use the Super Bowl to Grow Your Business on Social Media

I know you’re not an athlete and you don’t have a commercial in the big game…But you can WIN from the Super Bowl anyway. Social media marketing is key to growing your leads and business.

Everyone turns to social media for huge cultural moments like this… and jumping in the conversation in an authentic way for you and your brand will boost your visibility. It’s not just one of the biggest TV moments of the year, it’s a great opportunity for you to get more visibility for you and your brand!

How can you do it?

I’ll share specific advice but the execution? You can build these into video, photo or text content on any social media platform. Use engagement features like polls to get people to weigh in. Make sure to add Super Bowl related hashtags as well as hashtags related to whatever celebrity or content you discuss.

-The Taylor Swift Factor

We know many (half, 3/4?) of viewers will also be watching for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce…Ideas: React to Taylor, to the financial impact of her attendance, who did she show up with? What caught your eye?

-Halftime performances 

Ideas: React to the performance, compare it to your business in some way (this always depends on how amazing or noteworthy the halftime show is!)

-The Game

Oh right… this is the game of the year! :-)

Ideas: React to the outcome! And even if you’re not from one of the cities or don’t live in Las Vegas you can tie it to your business If you live in Vegas… this is a must! Show us behind the scenes of Las Vegas leading up to and during the game 

-The commercials

It costs $7 million for a 30 second Super Bowl ad. They're also a personal highlight and it makes good water cooler talk!

Ideas: You can put in a poll asking people their favorite ad… and if any are connected to your business you can discuss that.

Plus: Keep an eye out for the surprise breakout moment of the night! (Ex: Rihanna's pregnancy announcement last year)
