Why Being Uncomfortable is Great For Your Business

I HATE dancing in public, and I’m awful at following a routine.

But it’s important I do things that are UNCOMFORTABLE. I teach my students and clients in Video Boot Camp and 1:1 - be uncomfortable. Push yourself!

I did a salsa class w my husband outside, in public.

You could see the smoke burning in my brain as I tried to keep count.

Truth: It was uncomfortable for me.

If it’s uncomfortable, it means your brain is growing. Like I tell my kids 🤪

My brain grew a LOT.

Likewise, many of my 1 on 1 clients and video students feel uncomfortable when I push them to be on camera more, or share more of their personal life online.

It is uncomfortable because it’s new.
That’s science.

Our bodies want to remain static.

But that’s not good for us either.

Once you actually take the plunge and try something new: a new hobby, a new technology platform, a new innovation at work, your brain will reward you for it. You’ll find yourself with additional confidence.

Here is a little video of me practicing what I preach - dancing salsa in the street.
