Have you said “I just need to lose 10 pounds first”?

If you’ve ever thought ‘once I lose 10 pounds, I’ll apply for that’? If so you’ve got company.

We all have insecurities, that in itself is normal, however, they are mostly invisible to other people.

Life is too short to wait to pursue your goals!

I have so many clients who say to me, “Do you notice that this tooth is jagged”? (no) “Do you see that my mouth is crooked”? (no) “I hate my voice!” (no one else does).

It’s normal to have insecurities or things you’re conscious of but it’s important it doesn’t determine your future.

Honestly, I don’t love how I looked at my first big speaking engagement but I’m thrilled I didn’t let that hold me back.

Another thing to remember is that you’re not only holding yourself back, you’re also blocking the people who can learn from you, the people you can help! I got such amazing feedback from people, with tears in their eyes about how moving my speech was and how it was inspiring them to do more in their lives. If I had been so self-conscious and not put myself out there because of that mean inner voice, who would that really be helping?
