Get Ahead of 2025 with Time Blocking Tips for Productivity

As we come closer to 2025 and reflect on our New Year's resolutions, it's the perfect time to talk about one of the most effective techniques in managing your marketing efforts—time blocking. Many of us have all the knowledge and skills but struggle with the actual implementation due to lack of accountability or simply not making time for it. Recently, I worked with my client Rebecca, and we realized that creating a structured schedule was the missing link in her marketing strategy. By putting "like with like"—grouping similar tasks together—we were able to streamline her social media efforts. Whether it’s making videos or writing captions, aligning similar activities in dedicated time blocks makes you more efficient and keeps your brain in the right mode. Remember, having a backup time block ensures that even if one gets taken away, you still have another opportunity to get your work done.

I want to emphasize the importance of finishing tasks. Too often, we have completed pieces of content sitting around, waiting for that final step—posting! I’ve been there myself; I've had beautifully edited videos sitting in my Google Drive just because I didn’t schedule the time to write captions or hit 'publish.'

As we prepare to roll into 2025, commit to closing the loop on your content creation. When editing videos, work on multiple ones at a time; when crafting captions, write several. The aim is to complete each piece to the point where it’s ready to go live. Don't let your hard work sit idle. Finish it, draft it, schedule it, and hit post. If you’re looking for a more detailed plan to become a thought leader in your field and boost your revenue through strategic video marketing, be sure to download my free guide.
